The Long Man of Wilmington towers inscrutably over the East Sussex countryside. With his (or her?) enormous staves, the figure has been interpreted as everything from a manifestation of Neolithic astral religion to a spear-wielding Anglo-Saxon god. For Alfred Watkins, of ley lines fame, the Long Man was an ancient ley surveyor, complete with sighting rods. Carry the Long Man with you wherever you go, emblazoned on your chest.
